A fascinating topic coming up in a lecture at U of O in early May.

Professor Dermot Keogh to give a lecture on the Irish and Latin America:
The Chair of Celtic Studies is very proud to able to welcome Emeritus Professor Dermot Keogh to give a lecture on the Irish and Latin America with special attention to Ireland’s historic connections with Argentina. He will be speaking on Tuesday, 2 May, 2017 in the Hamelin Building room 509 (Arts) of the University of Ottawa.

Professor Keogh was the first person to receive a doctorate in History and Civilisation from European University Institute, Florence; he was Fulbright Professor in California, 1983; Woodrow Wilson Fellow, Washington DC, 1988; Visiting Professor, History Department, Cornell University, 1989; Guest Scholar, Woodrow Wilson Center, 1991. Arts Faculty Research Merit award 1999. Lecturer and Professor, University College Cork, 1980-2010; Jean Monnet Professor, 1990-; Head of History, 2002-2009. Retired 2010. (text by Dr. P. Birt)
